General Meetings
CAFS holds monthly General Meetings on the first Wednesday of each month in Coquitlam, as well as, the third Tuesday of each month in Abbotsford. Each meeting has an informative guest speaker or a panel discussing matters of current interest to the industry. These meetings provide a common ground where anyone directly involved with commercial vehicle fleets can meet to gather information as well as network with their fellow colleagues.
Allan C. Wright Memorial Transportation Award
As part of CAFS commitment to the development and education of the transportation industry, we are proud to be recognizing students who show a desire to pursue studies related to the safety or advancement of commercial transport related fields through CAFS’s annual Transportation award for "Commercial Transport Foundation Program" students.
This Award recognizes outstanding applicants entering programs at a BC Post Secondary Institution. The award is awarded on a competitive basis. Adjudication considerations may include academic achievement, non-academic accomplishment, and school and / or community involvement and demonstrated leadership qualities.
Golf Tournament
Each year in June, CAFS holds a Golf Tournament for members and guests. It is an opportunity to socialize and relax from the rigors of everyday work pressures.
CAFS Tournament is a "fun tournament", encouraging participation from all levels of golfers, with fair play and fellowship among all who attend. The format is a four person team scramble.
To ensure all groups are competitive with each other, a Callaway System is used; the Golf Course designates a "handicap" to each golf group, based on their best and worst holes scored, with the computer automatically assigning each group a handicap score.
Everyone gets a prize! Various levels of sponsorship and support are available for members to promote their business or service to over 155 fleet personnel and industry associates.
